With those kind of numbers come accolades such as an appearance in the summer classic, the Major League All-Star game, which happens tonight in Phoenix, Arizona. Verlander, the Goochland native and former ODU star, is again on the AL roster, although having pitched his Detroit Tigers to victory on Sunday, he may not throw a pitch at all tonight unless absolutely necessary.
