Reclusive funk legend Sly Stone will release his first album since 1982 later this summer, with a little help from famous friends Jeff Beck and Bootsy Collins.
‘Stone’s I’m Back! Family & Friends’, which will be released on August 16, will also feature many members of his former backing band, The Family, and The Doors keyboard player Ray Manzarek.
Stone’s last studio release was 1982’s ‘Ain’t But the One Way’.
