Actress Rosario Dawson has a new passion for ‘planking’.
Dawson was fascinated by Internet images of people lying face down and still – like a plank of wood – at landmark sites all over the world and now she has started trying it out.
During an appearance on late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (June 23rd), Dawson ‘planked’ on Jimmy’s desk and revealed she’s hooked on playing dead in public and becoming part of the ‘planking’ community.
She said, “We’ve got some stuff up our sleeves, like, there’s competition happening between our groups… What we’re really trying to do is plank for peace… It’s a whole new cause… We’re planking all over Los Angeles. It’s genius.”
Rosario Dawson regrets the fact she didn’t know about ‘planking’ when she hit the catwalk for a charity fashion show at the Cannes Film Festival in France last month.
She adds, “If I had known about planking I would have planked on the runway. That would have been really, really cool.”
