Finally, here’s your chance to spend some quality time with Prince William and Duchess Catherine.

The royal newlyweds, who make their big North American trip next month, will attend the July 9 Foundation Polo Challenge at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in California. It’s the one event on their U.S. tour that’s open to the public.

While $400 will get you inside, it costs $4,000 per person to sit in the royal couple’s VIP section.

Ticket proceeds will go to The American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, which raises funds to support disadvantaged children, conservation and veterans and military families.

The people in the VIP tent will be served a three-course lunch, along with some passed appetizers. “Giada De Laurentiis will create the menu with recipes from her family,” creative director of the event says. “She wants to create a down-home, rustic feel. She’s trying to stick with things that are organic and fresh.”

Folks in the regular club section will receive gourmet boxed lunches.

Of course, security will be high, as usual for an event that William and Kate, both 29, are attending. “It will be a little different than a normal club day,” says Glen Holden, ambassador of the club. “We will provide more and very synchronized security. Some of the shoulders of the roads nearby will be closed off.”
