President Barack Obama announced last night plans to pull 100,000 US troops from Afghanistan and end an expensive and deadly war, launched after the September 11, 2001.
Obama said he would withdraw 10,000 troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year, with a further 23,000 by the end of next summer.
He also said he has no problem negotiating with Taliban leaders to assure everyone is heard from with regards to building a better Afghanistan. C
