Juneteenth 2011, A Freedom Celebration is presented by the Elegba Folklore Society this Saturday at the Manchester Dock and trail of Enslaved Africans. The Juneteenth celebration commemorates the oldest African American holiday, Juneteenth National Freedom Day.

Bring the entire family out to the freedom celebration from 3 p.m to 11 p.m. and enjoy performances and speakers, the Freedom Market, exhibits and children’s events. At dusk, 8 p.m. take in the Torch Lit Walk on the Trail of Enslaved Africans to observe the theme, Healing Spirit.
