The recovery will be lengthy, and some will never recover from the devastation of the recent earthquake in Japan. The pictures and images are stunning, and heartbreaking as well. Meanwhile, as the water begins to recede and the people begin to come to grips with the magnitude of the disaster, the death toll is rapidly rising. The sad part is there are still thousands of people missing and as rescue personnel sift through the debris of cars, homes, timber, & sludge for remains, survivors are not very hopeful with the count now well over 10,000.
