The Skyhawks of Chester’s Lloyd C. Bird High School will take on the defending State Champions from I. C. Norcom HS in Norfolk for the 2011 State crown this Friday at VCU’s Siegal Center. Bird trailed most it’s semi-final game vs. T C Williams HS of Alexandria (Remember The Titans?), but the Hawks stormed back to win. Norcom dashed any hopes of local fans for an All-804 title game by defeating the Springers of Highland Springs in the nightcap. Good Luck to the Skyhawks on Friday as they rep the Central Region in the State Championship game.
