Black Friday is here and is the unofficial kick off of the holiday season. The doorbuster sales are out of this world. Major retail stores opened late Thursday night and will remain open. I will keep it short as you have to get back to the best Black Friday shopping deals at Walmart, Kohls, Macy’s, Sears, Sony, Office Depot, Best Buy, Dell, Old Navy, Toys R Us and a host of others.
What is Black Friday? This is the big shopping day after Thanksgiving which is the unofficial kick off of the holiday season. This is when retailers record their losses in red ink and gains in black ink.
The National Retail Federation recently announced that holiday sales won’t be as good compared to last year’s. The NRF believe that sales will rise to just under 3% compared to last year’s 5%. According to a CBS News Survey polled by 40% holiday shoppers say they will spend less on gifts than last year.
