When it’s time to book a hotel, I definitely read the reviews. I know that competitors will go on sites just to criticize their competition, but in most cases the reviews are written by people who have actually stayed there. I have to admit, I’m one of those people that are quick to fill out a survey or write a letter after I have taken a trip, good or bad. I was so glad to receive an email that had this list on it. This is not like the Fashion Police, when it’s sometimes ok to make the worst dressed list. This list is down right horrible and these hotels should be out of business and ashamed of themselves. So the next time you travel and it’s time to book your hotel rooms, keep this list in mind!

The dirtiest hotel, according to TripAdvisor posters: Grand Resort Hotel & Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., in the Smoky Mountains. The area is home to Dolly Parton’s theme parks and popular outlet shopping.

TripAdvisor says 87 percent of reviewers do not recommend Grand Resort. The headlines on travelers’ most recent reviews for the hotel, all posted this month: “Health inspector please,” “Stay anywhere else but here” and “Yuck, run for your life!”

“This is a nasty place, would not let my dog sleep there,” said the reviewer calling for a health inspector.
