Michael Jackson won his 23rd American Music Award for Rock/Pop Male, setting the record for the most AMAs won by a single artist.
On Sunday night the late King of Pop Michael Jackson beat out Maxwell and Jamie Foxx to win his 22nd American Music Award, this time in the Soul/R&B Male category.
Wearing one of MJ’s trademark gloves, his brother Jermaine accepted the award on his behalf and was joined on stage by his three sons, Jafaar, Jermajesty and Jeremy.
“Thank you so much, we love you Michael,” Jermaine said on stage.
MJ’s sister Janet opened the show with an amazing medley of her hits. Check out the video here.
