Sisters With Voices, better known as SWV, is a Grammy Award-nominated female R&B group originating out of New York City. Best known for the hit singles, “Weak”, “I’m So into You”, and “You’re the One”, the group is arguably one of the most successful R&B groups of the 90’s. After much success, group members Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” Johnson, and Leanna “Lelee” Lyons went separate ways to pursue solo music careers. In 2005, the group reunited and since then has sold more than 25 million records, making them one of the best-selling girls groups of all time.
Joining SWV are Stokley Williams and Silk. Stokley Williams began his claim to fame as the lead singer of the R&B group Mint Condition. He is well known for his Grammy-Award nomination for Best R&B Performance from his feature on Kelly Price’s song “Not My Daddy”. This year he released his solo debut album “Introducing Stokley”.
Silk is an all-male R&B harmony group form Atlanta, Ga that was discovered by the musician Keith Sweat. The group is best known for their hit single, “Freak Me”, which landed at number-one on the US Billboard Hot 100. Other hit singles from Silk include, “Happy Days”, “Girl U For Me”, and “Meeting in My Bedroom”.
