Governor Bob McDonnell stands up for Christmans. The governor’s office confirmed Thursday that the Executive Mansion will display a nativity scene given by the Catholic League this year. The Catholic League sent the nativities to all state governors in an attempt to offset a high-profile seasonal campaign by the group American Atheists. The group is planning to display a billboard at the entrance of New York’s Lincoln tunnel that will show 3 wise men heading to a manger with the script “You know it’s a myth. This season, celebrate reason.”
