A Virginia woman who was convicted of two hired killings will die by lethal injection and become the first woman to be put to death in Virginia in nearly a century. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to block her execution.

Teresa Lewis, the only woman on death row in the state of  Virginia, requested fried chicken, sweet peas and Dr Pepper for her last meal. Lewis is scheduled to die by lethal injection tonight at 9 p.m. EDT at the Greensville Correctional Center near Jarratt, Va., for the Oct. 30, 2002, murders-for-hire of her husband, Julian Clifton Lewis Jr., and her stepson, Charles J. Lewis, to collect $250,000 in life insurance money.
