Governor Bob McDonnell announced during a press conference on Monday that he has established a Virginia Health Care Reform Initiative Advisory Council. The council will review the healthcare quality throughout the Commonwealth. Members of the council will develop a strategy for implementing federal health care reform since Virginia has a pending lawsuit against the Federal Healthcare Overhaul bill. Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed the suit, claiming the federal government cannot force Virginians to buy health insurance.
