Beach goers had a chance to enjoy Virginia Beach over the Memorial Day weekend but City of Virginia Beach officials have canceled July Fourth fireworks displays slated for the Oceanfront and Mount Trashmore Park to keep residents safe and in compliance amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also canceled are the Mount Trashmore summer carnival and the Party at the Pier at Little Island Park and Fishing Pier.
