Losers

Lazy educators

While graduation season usually brings some major wins, it also has some major L’s, and of course, it had to come from teachers and faculty.

First, in Texas, a high school valedictorian was giving her speech when she paid tribute to those killed by police violence, including Trayvon Martin and Tamir Rice. Right when Rooha Haghar was continuing her speech, they cut off her mic.

According to New York Daily News, the administration said Haghar’s words were not approved. “As a result, the principal made the decision to limit the student’s remarks,” the school said in a statement. They later apologized for their actions, but the message was already made clear.

Then, in South Bay, California, another valedictorian was giving her speech when she had to keep it ALL the way real about her experience at her high school.

Nataly started her speech on a typical note, saying, “Thank you for being so invested in your students’ education and well-being.”

But then, she came for counselors, the administration AND alcoholic teachers.

“To my counselor, thank you for letting me fend for myself – you were always unavailable…You expressed to me your joy in having one of your students be valedictorian when you had absolutely no role in my achievements.”

EEESH.

Nataly continued:

“To the staff in the main office, thank you for teaching me how to be resourceful. Your negligence to inform me of several scholarships until the day before they were due potentially caused me to miss out on thousands of dollars.”

Got DAMN!

Nataly was NOT finished:

“To the teacher who was regularly intoxicated during class this year, thank you for using yourself as an example to these students about the dangers of alcoholism. Being escorted by police out of school left a lasting impression. I hope future students and staff learn from these examples.”

Oop!

You can witness Nataly’s words for yourself below:

Finally, one unoriginal principal had the nerve to plagiarize someone else’s speech for his own graduation speech.

And of all people, it was Ashton Kutcher‘s speech from the 2013 Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards.

Peep the side-by-side comparison below.

No shame.

The lazy educators can take the L for the week.
