Michael Jordan is giving back to his alma mater, donating $1.1 million to his former North Carolina high school. The money will go to Laney High School in Wilmington, NC, where Jordan graduated in 1981. Half the money will go to the school’s athletic program, and half to other school projects.
Last year, Jordan donated $2 million to Wilmington for recovery efforts after Hurrican Florence. Laney High athletic director Fred Lynch told reporters “He’s always thinking of us”.
What do you think it was like playing high school basketball against Michael Jordan? When’s the last time you visited your old high school?
