In a stunning fashion on an NBA night filled with final games, and retirements of Mavericks star Dirk Nowitski and Heat star Dwayne Wade, Earvin “Magic” Johnson decided to announce that he was resining his position with the Lakers to the media before talking to anyone in the organization.
“Today, I’m going to step down as president,” the former NBA mega starstated with watery eyes…….”I was happier when I wasn’t the president.” Magic Johnson has served as the team’s president of basketball operations for more than two years after being appointed to replace Jeanie Buss’ brother Jim.
Other than signing Lebron James, the Lakers experiment has been a total disaster for the legendary franchise and has everyone scratching their heads as to why he would quit before the season officially ended.
