New Report Suggests Virginia Lacks in Driver Safety Laws

The 2019 Roadmap of State Highway Safety Laws report says Virginia has only enacted six out of their 16 recommended safety laws. The study was put out by the Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety. They say Virginia is especially lacking in laws that target distracted driving and teen driving. The report says the annual loss due to motor vehicle crashes in the commonwealth is nearly five-billion-dollars.
