Many of the jokes fell flat. The hosts weren’t receiving the greatest reviews the morning after. But how did viewers respond to last night’s Emmy Awards? According to The Wrap, Emmy ratings dropped 10 percent from last year’s already-dismal numbers, setting an all-time low.
Conservatives will argue that the cause for the ratings plunge is the fact that they aren’t tuning in because of a liberal-Hollywood attitude towards many of the things they hold sacred. But is that the case?
Is it possible that people aren’t tuning in because people don’t feel like tuning in anything for long periods of time? Is it the viewing habits of Americans changing or the lack of entertainment value in the show?
