A white man in North Carolina has stepped down from his local homeowners association after a dispute where he harassed a black woman and her daughter at a local neighborhood pool. Jasmine Edwards claims she was racially profiled at the Winton-Salem neighborhood pool by a now-former member of Glenridge Homeowners Association by the name of Andy Bloom.

In a video that has now gone viral, Bloom can be seen talking to police after a woman refused to show an ID at the neighborhood pool. Residents are the only ones allowed to use the pool in the community. Edwards had a key card that allowed her into the gated area. Edwards also provided her address.

She claimed this was an instance of racial profiling. Bloom refused to apologize for the incident and police said Edwards was allowed to stay at the pool with her daughter. Why does it seem like these sorts of incidents are on the rise?
