Lee Daniels has been pretty chatty lately. His latest statements not only praise Cardi B but also praise himself for discovering her…kind of. Daniels told TMZ, “My favorite hip-hop artist right now, today, is Cardi B. She came to my Instagram. You can dig deep into my Instagram, dig deep, I was looking for somebody for ‘Star.’
Daniels said that Love And Hip-Hip executive producer Mona Scott hired Cardi B just by looking at his Instagram. There is video evidence of Daniels and Cardi hanging out together. The Instagram post is from October 2015.
Is it a “taking credit” thing or is he just telling the story of trying to help Cardi out?
