Here we go again. Lee Daniels is firing back at accusations that Mo’nique has been blackballed in Hollywood. After her Academy Award for Precious, Mo’nique has insisted that Daniels, Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey have kept her from getting more big roles.
During a recent interview with TMZ, Daniels said, “Mo’Nique, I fought hard for her to get that job (in Precious). I wanted her to get that job. She was paid her money. She was paid the money for the budget we had, and for her to bad mouth myself, Tyler and Oprah, it’s disrespectful and it’s wrong. She is wrong. She’s out of pocket.”
Mo’Nique famously went after Daniels, Perry and Winfrey during a stand-up special last year saying the three could “suck my d—, if I had one.” Asked if he understood her side of the story, Daniels said, “I don’t understand her motive. I don’t get it. I really don’t.”
