A Louisiana teacher was pushed to the floor and arrested outside of a school board meeting after she voiced her displeasure over the superintendent getting a $38,000 raise while teachers, cafeteria workers and other support staff get nothing.
Gov. John Bel Edwards admits that he saw nothing on videos of Louisiana teacher Deshia Hargrave’s arrest that warranted her rough treatment. In response to the event, the superintendent of Vermilion Parish Schools said he, his staff and his family have been receiving death threats.
