On Friday July 7th, a 22 year old American man named Bakari Henderson was beaten to death by a group of ethnic Serbians outside a bar in Laganas, a tourist village on the Zakynthos island in Greece. Henderson got into an altercation at a bar and appears to be chased down the street and jumped by several men…some wearing brass knuckles.
Henderson was in the country visiting a friend and conducting photo shoots to start his new business and was reportedly playing tough, badmouthing locals and other tourists, starting numerous fist fights, and smashed his drink on the table occupied by the Serbs. Other sources say the Serbs were upset that he was there with white women.
Eight people have been arrested and charged including a Greek, six Serbs and one Brit of Serbian origin.
