Shawn Carter a.k.a. Jay-Z testified to a jury Wednesday that when it came to his first big hit “Big Pimpin”, he felt justified and had permission to sample the 1957 hit “Khosara Khosara” by Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdy.
Jay-Z gave mostly one word answers and created laughter in the courtroom when bringing up memories and talking about musical acts he has been involved with.
