Richmond is one of the permanent capital cities of the confederacy so that is why you will see portraits of Confederate Generals, bridges, schools, streets, monuments, malls, and highways paying homage to that era in history.

Some protesters want Confederate General JEB Stuart’s portrait returned to a courtroom. Last month, Judge Martin E. Clark Jr in Patrick County ordered the portrait of Stuart to be removed from a courtroom. Over the weekend, dozens of protesters rallied outside the courthouse. One of the organizers tells the “Martinsville Bulletin” that protesters should also voice their opinions at tonight’s Board of Supervisor’s meeting.

Did Judge Clark Jr abide the law in the Virginia code? Let’s see view the Virginia code on memorials for war veterans.
