Gary Clark Jr. is a true musician.

Clark began playing the guitar at 12 years old, and now at the age of 31, the soul-blues-rocker has been compared to the likes of Jimi Hendrix.

He released his major-label début Blak and Blu in 2012,  it covers Clark’s complete sound which ranges from rock, blues, soul, country and hip-hop. Clark landed two Grammy nominations from this album, one for Best Rock Song for Ain’t Messin Round’:

And a winning nomination for Best Traditional R&B Performance for Please Come Home: 

The Austin native is also a prolific live performer. In 2012, he actually landed an award for doing more live shows than anyone in the nation that year. Check out some live performances below.
