Eric Wilkins, 22, of Hopewell and a Virginia State University junior student was shot and killed at the University Apartments near campus Thursday night.
Wilkins was shot during a verbal altercation a half-a-mile from campus along the 4000 block of J. Mitchell Jones Drive and the suspect is on the run.
