New Kent High School Football Player Dies After Practice

New Kent High School sophomore Jacob Vick, the starting linebacker on the Trojans’ football team, died Tuesday evening after collapsing earlier on the field during practice.
Vick collapsed to the ground during the team drills and was med-flighted to VCU Medical where he seemed to be in stable condition but later was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Vick had suffered a concussion recently but cause of death has yet to be determined.
