Kim Booker is a change agent, youth mentor, community activist and child advocate. She is also the Founder, Executive Director of the Alexander Lance Booker Child Safety Foundation. This 501 (c) non-profit, established in the memory of her 12 year old son, Alex, who was killed in June of 2007 in a construction site accident at the National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD. Since then, she’s vigorously advocates for new laws to protect children and bring awareness to all preventable accidents. Kimberly is the proud spiritual mother of 3; Taylor, Aaron, step-son Alphonso.

Ms. Booker has been a community servant for over 35 years. At age 11, she made front page news for organizing a Thanksgiving food donation rally to feed local less fortunate families. Since then she has an extensive background in community service which spans several states and various social causes. From the Summer Youth Employment Programs of Detroit, MI and Petersburg, VA; first as a participant then to program administrator of certification protocol ,onto the role of staunch activist for the prevention of domestic violence partnering with TheHotline.org and Family Life Crisis Center. Her production company, Brownladyblue PR&SE, has organized and co-hosted Teen Town Hall forums, Send-A-Kid-To-Camp radio-thons, Pink Carpet Breast Cancer galas these events yielded over 250,000in donationss to date. Most recently, Kimberly hosted 2 signature youth events with Maryland National Capital Parks& Planning. Her summer mentoring girls group “A.N.G.Y.L.S” has impacted the lives of many young women across the county and was the first of its kind in the area. She was a featured speaker at 2010-12 YADAAP youth conferences where the Foundation enjoys a successful collaboration with Virginia’s ABC youth alcohol prevention campaigns. Carrying a safety message as well the ALBCSF/NCM Harbor “Bikefest” bike safetyfamily event has been a huge success for 3yrs!

She is a recognized National Parent Advocate for the prevention of childhood accidental death and injury with Safe Kids Worldwide, and has served as a local liaise for NCMEC, NRA, WiredSafety.org and FPA child safety initiatives. A resident trained subject matter expert on conflict resolution, peer pressure, internet safety, gang prevention and cyber-bullying Kimberly has inspired thousands of children and educators with her dynamic sessions. She co-wrote Federal Bill H.R. 3094 introduced by Congresswoman Donna Edwards-MD and State Senate Bill 985 sponsored by Senator C. Anthony Muse both Bills seek the protection of children who come upon construction sites, assigning developer responsibility to public safety. Kimberly is an active board member for the Maryland Advisory Council of the National Children Museum. A recent breast cancer survivor she mentors newly diagnosed women of color on her”Pinkline”. Kimberly speaks to diverse audiences at schools, colleges, conferences, and youth leadership events. Our #1 goal is to Empower, Educate& Equip communities using a powerful innovative approach. “IN TRAINING: Future Change Agents of Tomorrow!”
