The man who was found in a car that crashed into the James River yesterday has been identified.
He is Barry L. Scott, a 27-year-old man from Henrico, according to Richmond Police. He leaves behind a wife and kid.
Foul play is not suspected.
According to family members, Scott had undergone mental therapy in the past and was on medication.
Witnesses stated that they saw a black car speed off the dock into the James River at around 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday. The car, with Scott’s body inside, was recovered on Wednesday.
