Following the verdict in the Trayvon Martin case, Stevie Wonder has announced that he is boycotting Florida.

He has vowed to never perform there until the “Stand Your Ground” law has been abolished. Wonder has also said that this applies to any of the other 22 states that employ this law.

While talking to fans during a performance in Quebec City, he stated “I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again. As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.”

The acquittal of George Zimmerman has led to other celebrities protesting the ruling, with Beyonce and Solange Knowles, Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Miley Cyrus speaking out.
