A man who was impersonating a police officer robbed two drivers on the Jefferson Davis Highway last night.

In both cases, cash and cell phones were taken.

The culprit is described as a black male, about 5’9” tall, wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts. He was said to be driving a white Ford F-250 or F-350 pick-up truck that has two white “emergency lights” on the front bumper and one on the windshield.

Police are warning people that if you think you are being pulled over by unauthorized personnel, police say to call 911 and follow the instructions of the dispatcher or drive to a busy, well-lit public place.

Anyone who has information on the crime should call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
