The 64th annual Tony Awards was held last night, with the big winner of the night being new musical ‘Kinky Boots.’

The musical walked away with awards for best musical, best original score, best sound design, and best performance by an actor in a leading role.

Cyndi Lauper somposed the songs and Harvey Feinstein produced the musical that’s based off the true story of a young businessman and a drag queen join forces to save a struggling shoe factory in England.

Other big winners of the night include ‘Matilda,’ ‘Pippin,’ and ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.’

Women also dominated the list of award winners, with Cyndi Lauper, Cicely Tyson, Diane Paulus, and Pam MacKinnon taking home awards, the latter two for directing.

With Neil Patrick Harris hosting for the fourth time, the awards show was a delight, both funny and smart; a treat that no one should’ve missed.
