The man who assaulted reggae artist ‘Toots’ last month will be facing his first hearing at the Manchester courthouse today. The 19-year old, William Lewis, will be facing two charges at the courthouse. The charges were ‘drunk in public’ and a felony for ‘malicious wounding.’

Frederick ‘Toots’ Hibbert returned for the hearing, but has not made any comments in court.

The court will be addressing the incident where Lewis threw a bottle at ‘Toot’s during a concert and it hit him in the head.

Update: The assault charge on Lewis for his actions against ‘Toots’ has been certified by the grand jury
