Indiana has the home court advantage after stealing the opener in NY and the big test now for the Knicks now will be Game 4, an almost must-win game because the Pacers still have a home game if it goes to a Game 6, and should they win on Tuesday, the pressure’s off in New York for Game 5..
The defending world champs showed no signs of the rust they displayed in the series opening loss to Chicago, and it seems the Miami Heat have all cylinders clicking again after a hard-fought road win in Game 3. With Dwayne Wade still not playing at All-Star level, LaBron James has found new partners to contribute and help the Heat move forward. Friday night, it was Chris Bosh who stepped up with 20 points & 9 rebounds to add to LaBron’s 25 as Miami assumes a 2 – 1 lead in the series with Game 4 set for Monday.
Meanwhile, The San Antonio Spurs seem to have lost the momentum in their series with Golden State, going into Oakland for Game 4 of their Western Conference series on Sunday. Jarratt Jack, Steph Curry & Klay Matthews showed character in their youth with a spectacular win over the Spurs to even the series at two games apiece. No question, San Antonio knows how to win, especially in the postseason, so an interesting Game 5 coming up on Tuesday in Texas.
The Memphis Grizzlies will have to be dealt with in the playoffs this season. Just ask the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Grizzlies have stolen home court advantage from the defending Western Conference champions, and now Memphis has seized a Game 3 victory to grab a 2 – 1 lead over Kevin Durant is giving it his all but almost appears to be playing alone, as well as extended minutes. OKC is in a vulnerable position where they also have a “must-win” scenario going on Monday in Tennessee.
