For the New York Knicks, this Indiana team may prove to be an even more formidable opponent than the days of Reggie Miller. Newly crowned Most Valuable Player LaBron James has put Miami on his back and led the way down the stretch, while his co-star of the world champs, Dwayne Wade has nursed injuries. The Bulls took full advantage of Miami’s failure to gain some momentum during the game and ran away to an upset victory on the road. Chicago grabs the home-court advantage with Game 2 set for Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, The San Antonio Spurs entertained Golden State to Texas on Monday after their extended layoff from their quick work of the Los Angeles Lakers . The Spurs looked about as flat as Miami throughout most of the game, then fought their way back into it in the 4th quarter. Still, it took the Spurs two overtimes to get the win as Steph Curry was virtually on fire finishing Game 1 with 44 point for the Warriors. A high scoring series expected between these two teams, both of whom can put up the points, and if the opener is any indication, this series will be competitive.
