Jerry Sandusky has been sentenced to 30-to-60 years in prison on the 45 counts of child sexual abuse charges in the infamous Penn State case.

Sandusky continued to declare his innocence by stating:  “They could take away my life, they could make me out as a monster, they could treat me as a monster, but they can’t take away my heart,” “In my heart, I know I did not do these alleged disgusting acts.”

Sandusky was convicted of molesting 10 boys over a 15-year period which included a total of 45 charges. Witnesses said Sandusky used his own charity, The Second Mile, to recruit his victims. Sandusky gave them gifts, brought them around the Penn State football team and also invited them to his home.

While his victims have cried to Jesus in order to forget the horrible crimes committed by Sandusky, there will be those taking comfort in knowing that his last days on earth will be spent in prison.
