In the Rhode Island school District, Father-daughter dances and mother-son ballgames have been banned after they were targeted by theACLU. A single mother complained that her daughter was prevented from attending the event. The American Civil Liberties Unions has argued that these type of events violate the state’s gender-discrimination law.
