KISS – FM celebrates the birthdays of some of our favorite celebrities every week on KissRichmond.com, and this week is no different as we wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the most popular weathermen in the world, Al Roker, who turned 59 on Monday, August 20th. That date also marked the birthday of the late great Singer, Songwriter, and Composer, Issac Hayes, who would have been 70 years old on Monday.
On Tuesday, August 21st, Jamaican sprinter and Gold Medal winner Usain Bolt was 26 years old, while famed movie director Melvin Van Peebles, father of actor Mario, was 80 on Tuesday. NBA superstar Kobe Bryant turns 34 today, Thursday, August 23rd, and fellow NBA star Jeremy Lin of the Houston Rockets celebrates his 24th birthday today as well.
Comedian Dave Chappelle turns 39 years old today, Friday, August 24th, and baseball icon Cal Ripken, Jr., a Baltimore legend, turns 52 on this Friday as well. The weekend brings many birthdays, including my homeboy out of Petersburg, Virginia, actor Blair Underwood turns 48 on Saturday, August 25th, while Food Network star Rachael Ray will be 44 years old on that date. Also celebrating on Saturday, former NBA star Reggie Miller (47), ex-NFL star Marvin Harrison (40), actors Kel Mitchell, one-half of the Nickelodeon duo “Keenan & Kel” (34) and the original James Bond, Sean Connery celebrates his 82nd birthday.
Rounding out the week is Jazz artist Branford Marsalis, he turns 52 on Sunday, August 26th. Also on that date, NBA star James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder will be 23, actress KeKe Palmer (19) and actor McCauley Culkin (32) also have birthdays on that date.
