Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has finally made a move to give the American people some idea of what a Romney White House would stand for. By selecting Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential running mate, he has now defined the 2012 campaign from here until November as the addition of Ryan to the GOP ticket offers a definite contrast to the path forward compared to that of President Obama.

Even in some Republican circles, this was a risky pick as the Ryan Budget Plan has come under fierce scrutiny from Democrats who have labeled his plan as “extreme” with intent to cut entitlements like Medicare, and turn the system into a voucher program. Ryan has already energized the Republican base and is a favorite of the conservative and Tea Party movement. The President wasted no time in reminding Americans exactly what the upcoming election means now that Ryan has been tapped as Romney’s running mate.
