Judge Kenneth Lester granted accused murderer George Zimmerman a second bail, however, and although the cost has dramatically increased to $1 million, which means Zimmerman, who is accused in the murder of Trayvon Martin, came up with some $100,000.   This, after Zimmerman was asked to turn himself back in to authorities after he and his wife were accused of perjury in relation to their financial assets.

Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie, was also arrested and charged with perjury in regard to that initial bond hearing. She was charged and released on bond as well. Zimmerman, who admittedly shot Martin back in Febuary following an incident that he is calling self-defense despite the fact that he was in pursuit of the Florida teen, has been incarcerated since June. The judge found that the Zimmermans had manipulated the court but cited that was not enough to hold him with no possibility of bond.

Zimmerman’s attorneys  made a public plea for donations to help free their client and his legal defense fund, which is paying for his bond, legal counsel and the security they have hired to protect him.    Zimmerman will face many restrictions under the guidelines of his bail release and is said to be living in a Florida “safe” house while he awaits trial.
