He’s the only golfer to win three tournaments this year, and by virtue of those wins, Eldrick “Tiger” Woods is officially back. Woods picked up another win at the Congressional Golf Club in the AT & T National Golf tournament. The win, Tiger’s 74th overall, moving him past the legendary golf icon Jack Nickalaus and he now needs only 8 more tournament wins to catch the greatest of all time, Sam Snead, who had 82 victories in his illustrious golfing career.

That really puts just how great Tiger has been over the years in perspective as he also chases Nickalaus’ record of wins in major tournaments. With two majors still to come this year, Woods can move closer to that once seemingly uncatchable statistic. He remains ranked No. 4 in the world, but a win in one of those majors could return Tiger Woods to his rightful place atop the rankings.
