Just after celebrating her 70th birthday over the weekend, it’s been announced the highly anticipated biopic of Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin has been put on hold.
Franklin expressed that some things are “going on” and the movie is “in a limbo position.”
Franklin’s grandson is currently in the middle of negotiating a recording contract and Franklin is working on releasing new music with Clive Davis.
Although postponed for now, Franklin is still looking forward to the day.
When the biopic idea first surfaced, Franklin was heavily involved in the potential casting, telling the producers whom she wants and doesn’t want to play her part.
