The GOP primary heads to Florida today.  The polls will open at 6 a.m. and on the voter ballot is Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Ron Paul. Although there are four candidates up for the vote, one particular candidate has taken the lead over his competitors.  In a recent poll done over the weekend, results show that Mitt Romney continues to take the lead.

According to the Reuter’s Ipsos latest polls by Florida state voters show support for Romney at 48%; support for  Gingrich at 28%; support for Santorum at 12% and supporters for Paul at 5%

In order to appeal more to his voters, Newt Gingrich, made a speech Monday at the Tampa Jet Center in Florida. Even though Mitt Romney took the poll over the weekend, Newt Gingrich has the endorsement of previous Presidential Candidate, Herman Cain.  At a meeting held for the Beach Palm County Republican Party, Cain stated, “”I hereby officially and enthusiastically endorse Newt Gingrich for President of the United States. I know that he is going through this sausage grinder because he cares about the future of the United States of America.”

Will Rick Santorum and Ron Paul catch up in this heated Florida poll?

Stayed tuned for more updates.
