Singer John Legend is taking himself off the market and heading toward marriage.
The Grammy-winning soul singer popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, over the holidays, his publicist confirms.
Legend’s rep, Cindi Berger, tells us the pair, who’ve been dating since 2007, got engaged “while vacationing in the Maldives.”
The 32-year-old crooner’s new fianceé is a 26-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Both posted twitpics of a boxing match they attended recently in Bangkok, Thailand.
Legend is scheduled to return to the U.S. and headline a New Year’s Eve concert at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas this weekend.
