While Dirk and LeBron were battling for the NBA title last season, a new legend was being born in Chicago with Derrick Rose. On Christmas Day, Rose had a huge hand in finishing off the Los Angeles Lakers on opening day in the NBA. In fact, LA lost again on Monday at Sacramento to start 0-2. In Dallas, the Miami Heat showed their poise and power in running away from the World Champions on ring and banner night for the Mavericks. The “Big 3” dominated the lopsided Miami win, while new Mavs addition Lamar Odom was ejected. Dallaqs now 0-2 as well after the Denver Nuggets routed the champs on Monday night. In Oakland, Chris Paul made his debut with the Los Angeles Clippers, who routed Golden State, the New York Knicks seem ready to bring their rivalry with Boston back, defeating the Celtics at MSG, and Kevin Durant dominated ‘Superman’ (Dwight Howard) and the Orlando Magic in Oklahoma City, and the Thunder went on to roll at Minnesota to begin the year 2-0. With a shortened preseason due to the lockout, you can expect some early season disfunction and perhaps some injuries as well……..
