Exits 74 B and C (Broad Street) off of Interstate 95 northbound in Richmond will be closed through noon Tuesday as crews work to repair a large sinkhole.
The hole opened up early Monday morning across two lanes of travel, and looked to be several feet deep.
VDOT officials said the hole was caused by a broken storm water drainage pipe. The piping must be replaced before the hole can be filled and paved.
Major delays are expected in the area.
